Adapted Primary School

The adapted primary school in Luleå is an institution that includes students who study subjects or subject areas based on the curriculum of the adapted primary school. The students at the adapted primary school have been diagnosed with intellectual disabilities, but may also have other areas of need. Within the adapted primary school, there are leisure centers for students in lower and middle school. For students over 13 years old who are covered by LSS, the Act on Support and Service, there is UF (youth leisure).

The adapted primary school in Luleå Municipality is located at Tunaskolan. Here, there is proximity to nature and community life, as well as to the city and activities. Within our school unit, we have a close collaboration with the primary school. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for two special teachers, one of whom will focus on subject areas and the other on the subjects of Swedish and social studies.

As a special teacher, you will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to identify and support students with special needs. One of the positions will focus on subject areas and the other on the subjects of Swedish and social studies. You will be part of the student health team and design and implement individual development plans to ensure that each student receives the support and stimulation they need to succeed. Additionally, you will be involved in developing and implementing various educational programs and strategies to promote inclusion and increase student participation in schoolwork.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you need to be a licensed teacher with a special education degree. You must be able to work fluently in Swedish in this role. It is an advantage if you have experience working as a special teacher or special educator.

We believe that you, as an applicant, focus on completing what you have started and working according to a clear process. In this role, you will plan your own work, so you need to feel comfortable structuring your work independently. You have no problem standing up for your opinions and can handle stress constructively. You have a good ability to meet different students' needs and easily build trust with others. Even under pressure or setbacks, you usually maintain a good mood and find it easy to step forward and create new relationships.
